Our client is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center. For over 49 years, the hospital has served North Central Florida. The hospital has an Accredited Chest Pain Center by ACC (American College of Cardiology) and is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. The Surgical Technician will assist the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

The Surgical Technician will work in collaboration under the direction of the RN and Surgeon during surgical procedures.

What will you do in this role?

  • Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases
  • Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Would Strongly Prefer candidates that have 2 years of CST experience.
  • Preference is acute care experience (1 year) would consider someone that does not have acute care experience.
  • MUST have CST certification in hand.

  • Additional Information: Surgical Techs with experience will be given an 8-week orientation.

SCHEDULE:

  • Shifts: (will take call after hours, overnight, and weekend.
  • Days: 630a-7p (3) 12hr shifts 630a-5p (4) 10hr shifts Evenings: 1030-11p (3) 12hr shifts 1030-9p (4) 10hr shifts
  • The call is shared equally amongst all surgical techs in the department. There is a 30 minute response time to call.

COMPENSATION:

$22.66 per hour
