Location: Oxford, MI – Oakland County
Schedule: Afternoons & Evenings
Compensation: $15.20 - $17.20 per hour, depending on the case assigned
ExpertCare is looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to support children with disabilities in their homes and local community. This role involves assisting with daily routines, guiding life skills development, and creating a nurturing, supportive environment.
Requirements:- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willing to work in the client’s home and nearby community spaces such as parks or libraries
- Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
- Experience with developmental disabilities preferred but not required
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Completion of online training and two in-person sessions in Troy, MI
- Provide one-on-one compassionate support in the home
- Assist with daily hygiene routines and encourage independence
- Help with household tasks, teaching skills to build confidence
- Foster a positive environment to encourage personal growth and following directions
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to ExpertCare training
