Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Job Specialty: Radiology/Cardiology
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Experience: 1-2 years minimum required, preferably with previous Cath Lab experience (Scrub/Circulate)
License: State License - Maryland (must have compact license or MD license)
Certifications: AART or RCIS License, ACLS, BLS
Must-Have:

- Experience in cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization (PCI), (PTCA), cardiac ablation, thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Accurate monitoring, room circulator, scrub-maintain sterile field
- Proficiency with Cerner, coil embolization, Rotablade, SWAN-GANZr, IABP
- Ability to float between Cath Lab and IR as a scrub, circulator, and monitor tech

Job Description:

- Participate in R & LHC, primary PCI, vascular/peripheral angios, EP studies, PPM implants, ablations, IABP
- Perform coronary lithotripsy, coronary microvascular disease diagnostics
- Conduct biopsies (tissue/bone/fluid), paras/thoras, port placements, GJ tubes, nephrostomy tubes
- Required to take part in on-call shifts (10 shifts per month), including weekend rotation as necessary
- Positive references from previous employers are needed
- Flu vaccine is mandatory for employment with no exemptions
- Documentation systems used include MacLab/CardioLab
- Average daily census: 15-20 cases in a 4-room setting
- Orientation includes 28 hours at 50% non-billable for training and familiarization with module completion before the start or possibly during orientation. Modules average 12 hours and are tracked via transcripts.

Note: This position requires flexibility and a strong commitment to patient care and excellence in the Cath Lab environment.
