Key Responsibilities and Priorities:
  • Assists the warehouse mmager with planning & coordinating, reviews procedures and processes, to ensure shipment of materials from facility as well as receipt of inbound materials.
  • Coordinates assignment of carriers of shipments.
  • Trains, and supervises all department staff.
  • Promotes good safety practices and adherence to company safety policies and procedures within the department.
  • Serves on facility committees and performs special functions as assigned by management.
  • Reports any work-related injury or illness to supervisor immediately and prior to the end of the scheduled shift
  • Will perform other additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Ability to perform math skills to include counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be able to think independently and make decisions corresponding to company policies and procedures.
  • Must have ability to have working knowledge of and perform keyboarding/computer data entry skills.
  • Must have ability to work effectively, efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have personal integrity, ability to address multi-task work assignments, ability to communicate positively and effectively, and the ability to work in a positive manner to project a positive and professional image to those outside of the company, management staff, co-workers, and all other individuals and departments within the company.
  • Must have ability to have and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must be functionally literate in the English language.
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull or move up to 70 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, and lifting.Education Requirements: Associates degree in logistics or supply chain management, Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft D365 a plus

    Certification Requirements: Forklift certification

    Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
  • Works in a climate-controlled office and in an environment in the larger shipping area where temperatures may vary from hot and humid to cooler working conditions. Will work in an environment in warehouse area that is dusty and dirty.
  • Years of Experience Required: 2+ years experience in a warehouse supervisory role
