Clinical Nursing Supervisor

Position Summary: The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to nursing and technician staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient care needs. This role will involve assigning and scheduling staff, monitoring patient care delivery, and acting as a clinical resource for the team. Additionally, the supervisor will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and technician staff
  • Assign and schedule staff, monitor patient care delivery, and ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Act as a clinical resource and role model for the team
  • Ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in nursing strategic initiatives and support shared governance
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensure proper consent has been obtained
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs
  • Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols

Qualifications

Education:

  • Program Graduate
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate

Experience:

  • 2 years directly related experience
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo (preferred)

Credentials:

  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty (preferred)

Physical Conditions: Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally

Working conditions: Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE, Subject to an annual contract and performance appraisal
