Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining packaging equipment.

Job Description

  • Operate each piece of packaging equipment
  • Trouble shoot, repair and rebuild the following with minimal direction and supervision: Lambpak Packaging machines; 9,000 Mirapak; Bosch packaging machines; Dynapaks; palletizers; stretch wrappers; case sealers; case settlers; Isoflo shakers; Ajax and Eccentric driven shakers; check weighers; belt conveyors; PLC's; hydraulic pumps, cylinders and accessories; product feeders and scales.
  • Weld stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Be knowledgeable of solid state electronics.
  • Do pipe fitting for air, water, and hydraulics.
  • Do sheet metal layout fabrication and installation.
  • Install new equipment as directed.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • 2- year maintenance certification preferre
  • Be able to weld, chip, grind and use all power tools safely at different heights on scaffolds, ladders and safety cages.
  • Will work in all areas of the plant, both inside and outside during any and all-weather conditions.
  • Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, around electrical equipment and open circuits.
  • May work on wet, icy, greasy floors.
  • Is frequently exposed to extreme cold surroundings.
  • Is occasionally exposed to humid conditions as well as hot and cold environments.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
  • Will regularly work in a work environment in which the noise level is usually high.

Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $26.62
