Job Description REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT: Reports to the Director, Delivery Software. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Technical expertise in software development, IT operations, and DevOps tools and technologies. *Creating, managing and debugging application builds in a variety of platforms. *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, as well as experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure. *Building, maintaining, and implementing new development tools and infrastructure using IaC. *Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers *Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes *Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results *Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats *Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in the software development lifecycle. *Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes *Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred or Desired: * Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems * Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills * Experience working in an FDA regulated environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent organizational skills * Experience Administrating Jira, GitHub, Jenkins or similar tools * Experience with creating and managing virtual environments* Familiarity with package management solutions * Experience with cloud deployments using Azureb Required: * Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field * Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role * Proficiency with Git or another source control system * Excellent computer skills, including the use of automation tools, scripting languages...
