About the Opportunity
">The University of Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer IV to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic and innovative environment. The successful candidate will have experience with modern programming languages, Linux, MacOS, and Windows operating systems.
Job Summary
">This position involves contributing to strategic planning, providing subject matter expertise, and leading the development and programming of automation workflows for deployment, configuration, and/or monitoring of systems/services. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and experience managing large deployments of systems running on multiple operating systems.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to strategic planning and provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on processes and goals">
- Analyze requirements and communicate and coordinate with staff and stakeholders related to the system and/or project">
- Lead the development and programming of automation workflows for deployment, configuration, and/or monitoring of systems/services">
- Researches, designs, manages, and maintains automation tools including security configurations">
- Leads and performs integration, migration, configuration, and security of existing applications and services into automated infrastructures">
- Serves as a subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders and leadership, and provides guidance and training to staff">
- Identifies, troubleshoots, researches, and resolves issues on complex and non-routine systems and applications to ensure reliability, security, confidentiality, compatibility, and functionality">
Qualifications and Requirements
">The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of professional experience in computer systems support, experience with modern programming languages, and experience managing large deployments of systems running on multiple operating systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
">The annual salary for this position is $127,000 to $181,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include generous vacation, holidays, and paid time off, competitive insurances and saving accounts, and retirement benefits.
