Carillon Senior Living is recruiting a hospitality-focused MDS Coordinator to join our team

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the MDS Coordinator:

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, maintenance, and timely completion of the MDS, care plans, and medical records for residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates conducts, and completes the MDS, resident care plans, and conferences on the computerized system.
  • Assures accuracy and completeness of the entire medical record.
  • Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
  • Ensures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.
  • Participates in family/resident care plan conferences.
  • Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
  • Serves as a staff nurse when staffing levels necessitate in order to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Assures timeliness of physicians' visits.
  • Notifies physician and family of changes in resident's condition.
  • Encourages rehabilitative techniques in order to restore residents' independence.
  • Assists DON in developing and implementing medical records policies and procedures.
  • Audits Resident Charts as assigned.
  • Coordinates the Restorative Program.
  • Takes On-Call as scheduled for RN Supervisor and Staffing Coordinator.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
  • Minimum LPN/LVN degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum on (1) year experience in Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care preferred.
