MTSI seeks an Aeronautical Engineer with a background in hypersonics at Eglin AFB, FL, to participate in the company's strategically focused hypersonic and IR modeling efforts.

Prospective candidate will provide direct SME level Aeronautical Engineering support as a key team member of the USAF's Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile (HACM) Program Office. This SME will coordinate with multiple government leads and other contractors within the USAF AFMC AFLCMC/EBX office.

Provide support for engineering efforts to manage the strategy, planning, analysis and execution of a Digital Engineering Technical Architecture. Perform as a member of a team, assisting government leads and other contractors with solving complex problems. Work individually with detailed processes or lead project teams. Generate written and/or oral reports, and brief government leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Aero database development from flight test
• Support flight testing (test planning, pre-flight predictions, real-time support, post flight analysis, parameter identification, etc).
• Perform control design, implementation and/or testing.
• The position requires CFD analyses that can be applied to EO/IR modeling of missile systems.
• Communicate technical results both orally and in writing. Interact directly with government customers, program management, and contractors.
• Develop and apply advanced techniques for solving a variety of vehicle flight mechanics and flight control system integration problems.
• Collaborate and coordinate with commercial and government partners.
• Participate in TIMs, IPTs and Working Groups as needed and directed
• Engage with internal and external partners to assist in managing cross-domain tasking

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Working understanding of frameworks such as Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Tactical Open Government Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
• 15+ years of experience
• Working knowledge of languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML) and System Modeling Language (SysML)
• MS and BS in STEM related field.
• Ability to interact and communicate in a professional manner with senior military and government leadership.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• SECRET clearance required.
• Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Desired Qualifications:
• Ability to secure a TS/SCI preferred
• Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Advanced Degree (Masters)
• 10+ years of experience
• Professional experience with Hypersonic and/or OA M&S and testing, including flight testing or sounding rocket testing, hypersonic systems and technology
