Job Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Proposal Pricing Managerto lead the timely development of proposal pricing and cost volume deliverables in support of competitive bid opportunities. These opportunities cover a wide spectrum of Tyto’s business areas and customers within the Federal Civilian, State/ Local Government, and Commercial markets.

This position will report to the Director of Pricing and operate in a relatively flat matrix environment, working closely and collaborating with the assigned Business Unit or Business Development/Capture executives, Proposal Manager, and Solutions/Technical Leads. The Senior Proposal Pricing Analyst will provide weekly briefs to the company Directors/Vice Presidents, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost/price volumes in accordance with the solicitation and coordinate with various disciplines and functions to develop pricing strategies.
  • Generate detailed pricing using the estimates, proposal structure, and cost and pricing strategy that meets requirements and deadlines.
  • Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM) and Level of Effort (LOE) estimations, e.g., skill mix,leveling, and time phasing inputs with SMEs, Technical Architects, and Operations Leads for inclusion into BOEs and cost estimates.
  • Proactively engage proposal team members early to ensure greater alignment on strategy between the opportunity assessment and proposal development phases and advise capture and proposal teams on cost and price strategies based on RFP/solicitation evaluation criteria.
  • Facilitate risk and opportunity quantification, and generate results of quantitative risk analyses to support bid or commitment decisions
  • Support peer reviews to assure compliance and quality.
  • Mentor and train junior other professionals on the team as needed in support of company goals and objectives.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and innovation.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance/accounting/mathematics/business.
  • Must have at least 5 years of direct Proposal Pricing experience or a combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business within the government contracting space.
  • At least 8 years of combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business.
  • Demonstrated experience leading competitive proposals as the Cost Volume/Pricing Lead.
  • A leader who fosters a continuous learning environment, with excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate the team and see proposals through completion.
  • A team player, proactive, and possesses excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle non-standard work hours.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required and must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications.
  • Ability to work and interface with various disciplines/functional leaders and various levels of management.
Preferred Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with federal or Department of Defense procurements.
  • Experience in telecommunications (voice and data) or high-tech environment.
  • Proficiency with pricing, cost estimating, and risk analysis tools.
  • Proficient/Expert knowledge of cost estimating principles, Truthful Cost or Pricing Data, FAR, and DFARS.
