Location/Schedule:

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road, La Grange, IL

Monday-Friday, starting between 7am-8:30am, with 8-hour shifts and a required call rotation.

Your Role:

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in our cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the setup, monitoring, and support of physicians during various procedures. These may include coronary angiography, vascular interventions, and interventional radiology cases like biopsies and embolizations. You will ensure that all preparations and documentation align with hospital policies and the standards of professional practice associations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain a sterile environment in the cath lab for all procedures.
  • Support physicians directly during cases.
  • Monitor and document cases accurately using Electronic Medical Records and hemodynamic systems.
  • Maintain and order necessary supplies, communicating effectively with team leads.
  • Document patient charges and reconcile billing for procedures.
  • Assist team members with patient transport and other essential tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • IEMA certification required.
  • Prior experience in Operating Room or Cath Lab settings preferred.
