Emergency Room Registered Nurse

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients and serve as a clinical leader for other staff
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients/families
  • Administer medication, assist with special tests/procedures, and institute emergency measures when necessary
  • Deliver safe, direct care to patients of all ages and actively participate in their care
  • Report potential or actual patient safety concerns in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Currently licensed as an RN in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Basic Arrhythmia Cert, PALS, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 6 months of hire, as well as Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
