Role Summary

Anthropologie is looking for a Temporary Concept Designer. This designer will work with our concept team to identify key trends and formulate seasonal concept ideas for Anthropologie apparel accessories and shoes.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Work collaboratively with concept and teams to build and present concepts and trends that drive accessories and shoes business, support multiple customer aesthetics and compliment key proportions, outfits and looks in apparel.
  • Create visual communication for the Design and Buying teams to support concept direction.
  • Manage presentations to the Design and Buying teams.
  • Conceive ways to further the customer experience through brand and design development.
  • Research, plan, coordinate, present, communicate, and strategize customer trends and influence the trends in various facets of Anthroplogie, all with the common goal of supporting brand development and integrityParticipate in accessories big ideas kick offs, proto reviews, and final product reviews.
  • Participate in cross concept and organization ideation meetings and facilitate presentations
  • Support accessories and apparel buying teams in materialization, color palette, and print in key trend ideas.
  • Trend and shape identification and research accessories and shoes
  • Concept/Shop idea generation
  • Identify key looks and silhouettes to support accessories categories and apparel Concept/Shops
  • Ascertain new resources for trend, design, and concept information
  • Collect images to illustrate current and future trends and concepts
  • Oversee and categorize the concept image folders for accessories and relevant apparel to ensure timely data input and output.
  • Manage the Concept sample organization (including samples we pull from our archives as well as new samples procured)
  • Present and Communicate seasonal concept, trend decks
  • Drive each season's Concept Book organization and presentation set-up
  • Manage Concept/Shop packs
  • See plans through from conception to finalization, help with finalization set up, outfitting, photoshoots, room set-up etc.
  • Keep abreast of customer identity and customer aesthetics
