Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn Flagship Pioneering’s system of generating and refining actionable pioneering hypotheses
  • Contribute to the development of ML models and AI tools that accelerate scientific research and the origination of new companies
  • Build LLM-enabled agents for biological data access, management, transformation, and analysis
  • Iterate with internal end users to deliver an effective user experience
  • Work directly with highly experienced Flagship Pioneering team members—a group of innovative and experienced scientists, entrepreneurs, and executives
  • Explore full-time opportunities at Flagship Pioneering and our AI/ML-focused companies

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Biology, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Deep research experience in at least one of the following fields: machine learning, modeling and simulation, computational biology
  • Record of scientific and academic excellence and creativity in the ability to solve complex scientific problems
  • A passion for innovation and a willingness to explore uncharted territories.
