Impact XM develops solutions for virtual and live events. We are looking for an Account Director, Healthcare to join our team.

Account Directors, assume responsibility for cultivating new and repeat business on behalf of the company. Lead, service and manage all aspects of client accounts and projects. Manage and develop all team members. Take all appropriate and necessary action to ensure clients and prospective clients regard the company in high esteem and rely upon us as their resource for present and future marketing communications solutions.

***Must have digital and healthcare (pharma) experience to be considered for the role***

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy:

Develop strategic annual plan with client in order to exceed brand objectives by aligning client objectives with Impact’s entire strategic marketing communication platform. Conduct periodic client and project reviews to ensure that all client objectives are being met, that existing relationships remain solid and look to meet new contacts. Build excellent rapport and spend personal time with clients in the office and field.

Research client and gain thorough understanding of their brand objectives with the purpose of providing strategic direction and input to manage clients marketing programs and to explore ways to influence the behaviors of the clients desired target audiences in order to exceed their business objectives,

Use knowledge and in-depth experience of company’s overall marketing communications solutions (including an understanding of driving the entire client engagement process from strategy to creative to design to execution), in order to provide consultative strategic and tactical solutions that support client in exceeding its brands objectives.

Sales / Account Management:

Recognize and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients. Build and maintain relationships throughout the client organization and at all management levels.

Generates two hundred and fifty thousand dollars or more in new business sales annually and manages a core revenue of one million dollars or greater.

Ability to sell and communicate company’s entire suite of experiential environment solutions – development and execution of strategy, design, production, deployment and management for events and exhibitions including related promotional, technology and digital products and services.

Lead all aspects of capabilities presentations, sales presentations, pitches and proposal generation for existing client base and prospects.

Drive the strategy and creative direction internally including preparation of creative briefs and communicate with the internal teams to ensure that client goals are being met.

Clearly represent their client’s needs, while guiding internal teams with their knowledge and insights of the client and the client’s business throughout the project life cycle, from concept development through delivery and final billing. Provide oversight to the Account Team that acts as liaison between client and all company departments.

Provide oversight and support to all account related needs including but not limited to:

Property and graphic inventories

Job process issues

Show site expectations

Quality / Expectation

Pricing / billing

Ensure the team maintains project Work Order, Creative Briefs and Call Reports and communicates this information to all departments in an effective manner.

Represents Impact XM at industry or skill specific meetings or conferences.

Travels approximately 20% of the time (potential globally) inclusive of client appointments, engagement of new client contacts and project delivery.

Financial Responsibility / Management:

Responsible for forecasting revenue opportunities along with presenting account resource planning and state of client on a periodic basis internally to Impact XM’s executive team.

Must maintain and update all forecasting and budgeting information in the Work Order on a routine basis.

Travel for onsite-management of client and services. Demonstrate project and meeting fiscal responsibility in booking travel and ensure team members’ travel follows Company guidelines.

Responsible for meeting client account and team target margins.

Assure all costs/ items are accounted for in client quotes and invoices.

Review all account reconciliations with team.

Follow-up directly with client, as required, to resolve unpaid invoices (Collection and Agings) in a timely fashion.

Leadership:

If applicable, manages account team including, interviewing, hiring, mentoring and training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and conducting annual performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

If applicable, empowers team members and effectively delegates responsibilities while monitoring client relationships and satisfaction of projects being handled by team members.

Train and develop individual skill sets, expanding client service, sales, business, and marketing expertise.

Resolve problems / conflicts within team.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and 3+ years healthcare experience working with global clients and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Global Pharmaceutical industry experience, including an understanding of additional processes and requirements.
  • Highly effective communication skills are required: including the ability to make effective and persuasive presentations; prepare written documentation including proposals, quotations and letters; maintain accurate and complete client and project files.
