We are actively hiring a Program Planner / Coordinator to join our Mission Technology and Solutions Division working in Reston, Virginia. You will be responsible for working with a team dedicated to the implementation of strategic capabilities to alleviate technical challenges facing the customer.  This office also leads strategic research and development to provide mission advantage through emerging and disruptive technologies.   

The candidate will manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of team functions to include managing speakers, guests, and VIPs; managing venues – both physical and virtual; managing event marketing and registration; and providing logistical support to attendees, speakers, guests, and VIPs including travel, transportation, and lodging.  Events that the candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing include commercial showcases, technology focus days, technology external advisory board meetings, events with external engagement partners, and exploration fund events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve in an all-purpose support role to ensure that the project team operates efficiently on a daily basis as it develops and implements strategy;
  • Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of team functions (this may include event planning and managing speakers, guests, and VIPs as well as related logistics);
  • Track and coordinate actions, email exchanges, and draft emails and other correspondence in support of the project; 
  • Work closely with senior officers on the project as well as a dispersed group of stakeholders;
  • Utilize strong organizational skills and an ability to manage and coordinate multiple requirements to facilitate progress on the project;

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or (additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree) and 10+ years of experience.
  • Must have successful record of accomplishment managing events and visits for the customer.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have exceptional coordination skills, including coordination with dispersed personnel
  • Must have successful experience supporting senior officers and strategic initiatives
  • Must have ability to draft cables, emails, and other correspondence
  • Must have ability to use MS Office applications and other tools to track customer actions and status.
  • Must have experience supporting the customer at all levels, including providing regular status updates and briefings.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and understanding of the customer’s mission and field technical operations.
