Due to a shortage of providers in the community, a Perm Board Certified or Board Eligible Gynecologist is needed at busy eastern Iowa employed clinic.
Job Description:
  • This is a hospital/clinic + call 100% GYN-only position
  • Main location is Genesis Medical Center with Genesis Health Group in Davenport, IA (GYN only), but could branch out into providing secondary support at Silvis, IL (OB/GYN) location based on provider's interests and capabilities
  • Required positions: IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only Tubal Ligation, LOAs, Chromal Tubation, Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOAs, Robotic Procedures
  • Robotic capability at Davenport location only
  • Total Number of Beds: licensed for 600 total beds in Silvis and Davenport combined
  • Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: as per physician's preferences
  • Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day: per physician preference
  • Trauma Level/Designation: III
  • What Percentage of Patients are C-Section: N/A, unless able to provide secondary support of 30% at Silvis
  • Average Number of Nursery Admissions Per Day: 1-3
  • Nursery Level II
  • Number of Physicians in Practice: 5 in Davenport (OB & GYN) 3 in Silvis (when full-time, currently filled with Locums)
  • How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 1 in Silvis, 4 in Davenport
  • Describe Support Staff: loyal and experienced
  • Number of Exam Rooms: up to 3
  • Onsite Lab? Yes
  • Onsite Ultrasound? Yes
  • Describe Office Equipment: clinic and procedural capability
  • Documentation System/EMR: CERNER
  • Open to new graduates who are Board Eligible with plans to test
  • Not accepting visa candidates
  • Not accepting Locums candidates
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days

  • Board Eligible (with plans to test) or Board Certified in OB/GYN or Gynecology only - REQUIRED
  • IA license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Certification (NRP) - REQUIRED
  • ACLS - REQUIRED
