Per Diem RN

Job Summary:

  • Providing quality direct nursing care to patients based on specialty assignments, independently of the patient location, and assisting with various medical procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and comfortable environment as per standards set by the Hospital departmental policies.
  • Documenting and communicating clinical finding and outcomes while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Participating in professional growth and development initiatives including attending in-services, workshops, and meetings while enhancing the patient care experience.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum one year of directly-related experience in the specialty area of nursing.
  • You must possess RN licensure in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
  • Must have current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and other physical demands consistent with heavy work as per Hospital standards.

Preferred Qualifications (but not essential):

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • National certification in specialty area of nursing.
  • Previous experience is not necessary.
  • PALS, TNCC and/or ENPC certificates.

Work Schedule:

  • This position is per diem/casual, and shifts are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
  • Minimum work requirement is two shifts per schedule.
  • You need to work at least one weekend shift and a winter and summer holiday shift per schedule.

Working Conditions:

  • You will be working in a hospital setting with possible exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn when necessary and provided by the Hospital.
