JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule- D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs

Job Duties:

This is a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED), a state-of-the-art facility that manages more than 100,000 visits a year and is one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. It is the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. Responsible for treating a diverse patient population. Will assist with border patients.
  • Checking patients' blood pressure, heartbeat and pulse regularly
  • Providing compassionate care by listening to patients' concerns and guiding them by answering any questions or concerns
  • Monitoring patients' conditions and providing updates to healthcare team
  • Turning, repositioning and move patients between beds, wheelchairs and seats
  • Helping patients use the bathroom and dress
  • Monitoring patients' food and liquid intake
  • Escort patients to get X-rays and other imaging tests
QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience
  • Two years current RN Interventional Radiology experience
  • Two years of telemetry experience required
License/Registration/Certification
  • ACLS/BLS - American Heart Association
  • Active unencumbered New York RN license
Education and Training
  • Associate degree - fully accredited RN program, BSN preferred.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
