Job Details

The University of Washington (UW) and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (FHCC) seek two Advanced Practice Providers, one for a BMT/immunotherapy Hospitalist role and one for an Outpatient Immunotherapy role. The incoming APPs will join 50 APPs who care for blood and marrow transplant patients and immunotherapy patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician. Candidates with previous hematology, oncology, or inpatient experience are strongly preferred.

Inpatient BMT/Immunotherapy Position

  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team on the inpatient wards at UWMC, working 12.5-hour rotating shifts to cover 7 days per week
  • 11-13 day time shifts/month
  • Evaluate and manage all aspects of care for medical oncology and hematology inpatients
  • Perform procedures (bone marrow, LP, etc.) according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice
Outpatient Immunotherapy Position
  • 100% outpatient position
  • Outstanding quality of life - 4-day work week with no call or weekends required
  • Excellent support and team-based care with attendings, nurses, clinical pharmacists, social workers, dieticians, transition RNs, research coordinators, and patient care coordinators.
  • Adult patients with primarily hematologic malignancy and some solid tumor cancer
