Who You AreJustworks is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (Staff SDET) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications, designing automated tests to validate their performance, and creating/maintaining automated testing systems. As a successful candidate, you have demonstrated the ability to build, deploy, and maintain complex mobile and web applications. You have a strong interest in software and systems testing.
Your Success Profile What You Will Work On- Provide quality engineering leadership and expertise to multiple engineering teams.
- Take ownership of and continuously improve our testing strategies, encompassing unit, functional, integration load, stress, and regression testing.
- Build and implement strategies for performance, synthetic and real user monitoring (RUM) testing capabilities.
- Assess the current state of quality tooling, technology, and process to ensure each is consistent with industry best practices and standards.
- Play a key role in evangelizing a full-stack quality engineering philosophy within the organization, leveling up quality standards across engineering.
- Mentor engineers to help them grow their technical skills by fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering
- 2+ years of staff, or similar level leadership experience
- Strong experience working in CICD environments and working with a variety of tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Github Actions, etc.
- Expert knowledge of OOP and coding standards, using quality to level up engineering practices
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership and negotiation skills. Experience with training and coaching is strongly preferred.
- Experience in building web and mobile automation frameworks.
- Strong experience in SOA environments and building automation frameworks for middle-tier applications
- Expert in test design, agile testing methodologies, and metrics/reporting.
- Ruby on Rails, Javascript/React, GraphQL, Kotlin, Go, MySQL, Kafka, Cypress, Xray
- AWS, Git, Docker, CircleCI, Kubernetes, DataDog
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $220,000.00 to $242,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
