Position Overview for the Scrum Master:
- Facilitate Agile Processes: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies and practices, ensuring the development team adheres to Agile principles and approaches to achieve project goals effectively.
- Coach and Mentor: Coach and mentor the development team to optimize their performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization within the Agile framework.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, priorities, and progress, effectively communicating project status and addressing any impediments or challenges early on.
- Process Improvement: Utilize tools like JIRA to identify areas for process improvement, implementing sustainable improvements to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and ultimately deliver high-quality project solutions that improve the taxpayer experience.
Required Skills for the Scrum Master:
- Seasoned IT Program Experience: Bring over 7 years of extensive experience working within IT programs, demonstrating a deep understanding of project lifecycles, complexities, and challenges within the IT landscape.
- Proficient Scrum Master: Demonstrate expertise as a Scrum Master in Agile environments, particularly with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, adept at orchestrating Agile ceremonies and practices to ensure project success.
- Effective Stakeholder Communication: Showcase proficiency in briefing leadership and engaging directly with government clients, fostering transparent communication channels to align project objectives with stakeholder expectations.
- Agile Tools Proficiency: Possess hands-on experience with Jira, adept at implementing Agile techniques in software delivery environments, including setting up sprints, generating reports, creating queries, and structuring user stories for software features.
- Knowledge of Agile Principles: Exhibit a strong grasp of the Agile Manifesto, Lean Principles, and their application to IT system delivery, leveraging this knowledge to drive efficient project execution and delivery within Agile frameworks.
