Technical System Administrator

Folsom, United States IDR, Inc. Full time

IDR is seeking a Technical System Admin III for a 6-month contract position located in Folsom, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing users and assets in Active Directory, implementing DevSecOps practices, and administering cloud services.

Required Skills for Technical System Admin III

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, and Powershell.
  • Experience with IDM and managing users and assets in Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in Docker, container deployment, and Docker security practices.
  • Experience with AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud services administration.
  • Understanding of VLANs, layer 2, and firewall rules.
  • Experience with on-premise or cloud-based virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and AWS VMs.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools including Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience with configuring and implementing security and networking diagnostic tools.
  • One of the listed certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect/SysOps Administrator/Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or CompTIA certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical systems administration role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations as required for related duties.
