We are looking for a part-time Technical Writer to support one of our clients based in Folsom, CA.
Responsibilities:
Create, edit, and update various technical documents (e.g., user manuals, operational procedures, system specifications).
Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation.
Review and maintain documentation to meet organizational standards and audience needs.
Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand content.
Manage document repositories and ensure documentation remains up-to-date.
Develop and deliver training sessions on new documentation.
Stay updated on industry trends to improve documentation processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or related field.
4-7 years of technical writing experience, preferably in energy or utilities.
Proficiency in editing, proofreading, and content management.
Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare).
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Knowledge of power systems and energy markets is a plus.
