Job Description:

Meade Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage complex electrical projects with a strong focus on brownfield environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in arc flash studies, infrastructure design, and project execution for operational facilities. You will oversee projects from planning through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in all phases of the work.

Job Duties:
  • Manage electrical design and upgrade projects, primarily focusing on brownfield (existing infrastructure) environments for data centers, energy, or manufacturing industries.
  • Conduct and oversee arc flash studies to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Support existing infrastructure for Tier 5 data centers, including electrical system upgrades, replacements, and AHU (Air Handling Unit) deployments.
  • Lead project teams through the planning, design, and execution phases, managing resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies for working with live systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clients, engineers, and construction managers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Review and support the development of electrical designs that align with existing infrastructure, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare project documentation, including reports, specifications, and design calculations.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client-specific guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical project management, preferably with a focus on brownfield projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of arc flash studies and NFPA 70E compliance.
  • Strong background in existing infrastructure design and project management, particularly for Tier 5 data centers.
  • Experience in electrical system upgrades, replacements, and AHU deployments.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Proficiency in project management software and electrical design tools (Bluebeam, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license or equivalent certifications in electrical engineering are a strong advantage.
