This is a supervisory leadership position. Team Leader Logistics provides training and coaching to the team, conducts interviews, and recommends the selection of new hires. In addition, the Logistic Team Leader is responsible for ensuring employee adherence to the company's Quality Management System.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Administer personnel performance management
Assess present and future department needs and make recommendations
Interview and recommend new hires
Maintain record of workload activities as per established procedures
Investigate customer complaints and respond
Maintains the department metric and updates accordingly
Makes proposals for the budget and maintains compliance
Operational Responsibilities:
Partake in project and meetings related to logistical solutions, JIT, Kanban, warehouse layout and flow of product
Monitors the accuracy of inventory by creating and maintaining inventory control records and reports to management on a regular basis. Analyze the root cause of stockouts and immediately take corrective action.
Control inventory through cycle counts, inventory turns, obsolete inventory, new inventory locations, movements
Adjust inventory.
Determine and request packaging solutions for new products to improve existing material
Schedule maintenance for logistic equipment and provide tools for calibration
Qualifications:
Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Problem-solving skills
Ability to make recommendations on budget, capital equipment, and inventory
Manage quality, cost safety, and schedule to meet company goals
High School Diploma or General Education Development certificate (GED) is required
BA/BS in business or related discipline is preferred
2 to 5 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing context is required
Inventory systems experience is required
Supervisory experience is required
Effectively organizes and manage work priorities
Effectively communicates with others
Demonstrate detail for attention
Understand customer perspective
Shares, acts on customer feedback
Recommend ways to improve processes and procedures
