Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll have the opportunity to perform modifications and heavy maintenance on King Airs and DHC8 aircrafts. Your responsibilities will include shooting and bucking rivets to specifications, recognizing differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness, and performing sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices. Additionally, you'll be expected to remove existing rivets from aircraft structure, build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials, and perform repairs to the aircraft while determining which repairs can or cannot be made. You'll also need to read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Hard Skills

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bridgewater, Virginia.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily in a hangar and will be in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) type environment. You will work off the production schedule to include work cards where you'll be required to complete work in a designated time frame. The work schedule is all day shifts: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm with an hour lunch break.
