Aircraft Structures Mechanic Job Description

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic to perform modifications and heavy maintenance on King Air and DHC8 aircrafts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shoot and buck rivets to specifications
  • Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness
  • Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices
  • Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure
  • Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials
  • Perform repairs to the aircraft along with determine which repairs can or cannot be made
  • Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions
Requirements:
  • 5+ years aircraft structures experience
  • Must provide own tools
