How You'll Perform the Role
The Production Shift Manager will be responsible for an assigned area in terms of safety, production output and cost, quality of finished goods, housekeeping, and employee management.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Participate and support, for every employee, a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures.
- Participate and support, for every employee, and visitor; the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
- Champions the Human Performance (HP) initiative, ensuring the plant is effectively implementing and using this methodology.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining KPI's on productivity, budget/cost management.
- Responsible for developing, leading, and support of Production Shift Supervisors.
- Responsible for completing and presenting production day reports.
- Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree preferred.
- 5-10+ years operations/production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with operational tactics, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Computer and math skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook, SAP
- Excellent communication skills
- A good self-starter
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail oriented.
