Job Summary:
- Provide support to multiple programs serving individuals with disabilities. Assist in the development of services and plans to meet the needs of the community.
- To participate as a member of the SCS (Specialized Community Supports) leadership team; fostering an environment which supports individuals in pursuit of their hopes, dreams and personal outcomes
- Become an expert of standardized practices utilized by LSS.
- Knowledge of software used by LSS (UKG, Therap, CDS and Pathways, etc.)
- Assist with development of innovative and specialized services for individuals as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older; or
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older; or
- A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older; or
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
- Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications of a designated manager.
- 2 years of experience in training, supervisory or managerial capacity is required.
- Experience training groups of people on virtual platforms preferred.
- Ability to observe, listen and respond with dignity and respect.
- Ability to accept/follow through with direction.
- Elevated computer skills.
- Creative team member who can suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
- Ability to exhibit patience, self-control, flexibility, and to recognize boundaries.
- Driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
- Reliable and insured personal vehicle required.
- Background Study (BGS) clearance is required.
