Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate professional development programs for staff members.
  • Conduct educational needs assessments, develop high-quality educational programs, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and policies.
  • Implement instructional design skills and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Partner with nursing leadership to develop orientation, training, and competency assessment programs.
  • Analyze data to identify competence deficits and address high-risk equipment/processes.
  • Understand healthcare issues, analyze change initiatives, and maintain knowledge of regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a resource, participate in research review, and incorporate evidence-based learning into practice.
  • Model professionalism, integrity, and ongoing professional development.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of education experience, minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in specialty.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • License/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum three (3) years of leadership/management experience, minimum five (5) years of education experience, minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in acute care setting, Master's in nursing with focus on clinical specialty, certification in specialty practice (Nursing Professional Development and/or clinical specialty), excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
