Leidos is looking for a motivated Site Reliability Engineer to play a crucial role in SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. Join our high-performing team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and uptime assurance of a cutting-edge DevSecOps platform that supports over 2500 users, 200+ projects/products, and 1000+ repositories. We serve the Social Security Administration (SSA), impacting 65 million American lives every month. If you possess the following key skills, we want to hear from you: Checkmarx administration, Ansible Automation, Atlassian Suite Administration, Git Administration, and experience with Windows/Linux Administration and Availability Monitoring/Triage (Splunk, Dynatrace).

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build, maintain, and automate the next-generation DevSecOps platform using best practices and the latest technologies, including:
- DevOps tools (Jenkins, Nexus Repository, Checkmarx, SonarQube, BlackDuck, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker)
- Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code (Ansible, Scripting, UrbanCode Deploy)
- Provide on-call support for the DevSecOps platform.
- Administer the DevSecOps platform, including installation, migration, upgrading, and troubleshooting on Linux.
- Provide expertise in automation, security, monitoring, incident response optimization, SQL tuning, and CI/CD tools.
- Ensure business continuity by supporting operational teams across various components (front-end, middleware, networking, database, etc.).
- Brief management, customers, or vendors with appropriate technical communication skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Master's or doctorate may substitute for required experience.
- 7+ years of experience in administering CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions), Git (Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab), Atlassian Suite, and a DevSecOps platform.
- 4+ years of Ansible automation experience.
- 2+ years in an on-call operational support role for critical systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

- Strong expertise with Ansible Automation, including authoring playbooks and roles.
- Experience with version control software like Git, including peer reviews of playbooks.
- Hands-on experience with administering a DevSecOps platform via Ansible playbooks.
- Proficiency in administering the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and related plugins.
- Experience with Checkmarx administration.
- Experience in triaging and monitoring issues and incidents.
- Automation experience using scripting languages like Shell or Python.
- Familiarity with integrating/maintaining third-party CI/CD tools.
- Industry knowledge for maintaining tool plugins.
- Basic Linux skills with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) support.
- Basic networking skills.
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

- Experience in AWS administration (EC2, S3, ELB).
- Familiarity with PaaS using Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes and Docker containers.
