Enabling safe, comfortable, and affordable autonomous driving includes solving some of the most demanding and challenging technological problems. From centimeter-level localization to multimodal sensor perception, sensor fusion, behavior prediction, maneuver planning, and trajectory planning and control, each one of these functions introduces its own unique challenges to solve, verify, test, and deploy on the road.

We are looking for smart, innovative and motivated individuals with strong SW background and programming experience with languages such as C/C++, python, as well as strong ML/DL skills to create and modify advanced algorithms. Job responsibilities include design and development of camera perception using multiple camera sensors. Work closely with different teams to implement SW optimization on Snapdragon Ride platform. Work closely with test engineers to develop test plans and validation of advances algorithms and SW. Will be actively involved in SW integration and debugging issues based on the performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of C++ development, C++11 and C++14 is a strong plus
  • Embedded SW design and development for safety critical systems is a strong plus
  • Experience with Programming languages such as C++, Python, Shell, etc.
  • Experience with multi-threaded / multi-core SW development and design
  • Knowledge/experience on Linux and embedded platform with QNX, AGL, Safe Linux, etc.
  • Knowledge of Linux network stack and any experience with network device drivers is a plus
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, DDS, Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware and frameworks
  • Knowledge / experience with safety critical software development process (Functional Safety), including ASPICE, ASIL, ISO26262, MISRA C++, AUTOSAR C++
  • Proficient in state of the art in machine learning networks, tools (pytorch, tensor flow)
  • Experience in Autonomous driving, Robotics, XR/AR/VR
  • Experience with sensor fusion and multi-sensor integration, system-level timing distribution
  • Familiarity with static analysis tools, code coverage metrics, unit test generation
  • Experience with source code management tools such as git, git-lfs, github/gitlab
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a cross-functional team

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Leverages advanced Machine Learning knowledge to extend training or runtime frameworks or model efficiency software tools with new features and optimizations.

•    Models, architects, and develops advanced machine learning hardware (co-designed with machine learning software) for inference or training solutions.

•    Develops optimized software to enable AI models deployed on hardware (e.g., machine learning kernels, compiler tools, or model efficiency tools, etc.) to allow specific hardware features; collaborates with hardware teams for joint design and development. 

•    Develops and applies machine learning techniques into products and/or AI solutions to enable customers to do the same.

•    Develops, adapts, or prototypes novel machine learning solutions aligned with and motivated by proposals or roadmaps for complex products and working features.

•    Oversees and conducts experiments to train and evaluate machine learning models and/or software.

Level of Responsibility:
•    Works independently with minimal supervision.

•    Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
•    Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
•    Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc. 

•    Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).

• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
