Job Title: HVAC Service Manager

The Service Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing service operations, customer management, and technical support. They contribute to the efficient functioning of the service department, ensuring timely and effective service delivery, and fostering positive customer relationships.

Service Operations Support:

  • Daily management of service operations, including dispatching, scheduling, and coordinating service calls.
  • Review service requests, assign technicians, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Monitor technician productivity and provide guidance to optimize service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate service records, including customer information, service history, and equipment details.
  • Implement and enforce service policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction with service quality. Resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help identify potential service contract opportunities and promote service offerings to customers.
  • Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure their needs have been met and address any outstanding issues.
Technical Support and Training:
  • Provide technical assistance and support to service technicians, troubleshooting complex HVAC systems or equipment when necessary.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new service technicians, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in the HVAC field to enhance technical knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Inventory and Parts Management:
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure availability of necessary parts and equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, including stock counts, ordering, and returns.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on service department performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), customer feedback, and service metrics.
  • Analyze service data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize service department performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Labor management and P&L accountability and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • 7 or more years of experience in the HVAC industry, with exposure to service operations and customer management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in using HVAC service management software or similar tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to pass background check and drug screening.


Salary - $115K - $135K DOE
