Position Overview:

They are seeking a highly skilled and creative Manufacturing Design Engineer to join their talented team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing structural steel systems that enhance space utilization for various business environments. You will work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure that their products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer include:
  • Design and develop structural steel systems for optimizing space in warehouses, distribution centers, yards, and retail stores.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs) using CAD software.
  • Perform structural analysis and simulations to ensure the strength and stability of designs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Interpret and incorporate client requirements into custom design solutions.
  • Participate in project planning and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide onsite engineering support as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in structural steel design and manufacturing.
Qualifications:
The qualifications that the successful Mechanical Design Engineer must have include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing design engineering, preferably within structural steel or space optimization sectors.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulation.
