JOB DESCRIPTION: LOAN OPERATIONS PROCESSOR

Summary/Objective
The loan processor will collaborate with other loan department personnel in a team setting in order to achieve a productive work environment. The loan operations processor should be able to perform all functions on a daily basis; some duties will be rotated monthly. Functions include new loan booking and funding, document preparation, back office balancing and reconciling the daily work, digital file preparation, payment processing, and other clerical duties and special projects as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Book, fund, and review (pre-funding) New and Renewal loans and related duties
  • Keypunching new loans and related duties
  • Set up and maintain digital loan files via Image Center (FCM)
  • Balancing and checking back loans; and related duties
  • New consumer/commercial loan documentation preparation (weekends)
  • Submit Consumer Credit corrections via E-Oscar credit reporting system
  • Specific Duties as assigned: Prepare and process title documentation for automobile transactions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Code of Ethics are being followed.
  • Responsible for reporting any Code of Ethics/ Internal fraud violations.
  • Follow all Bank policies and procedures

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, calculators, and scanners. .

Physical Demands: This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary. This position requires lifting and carrying courier bags.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Additionally, one loan processor is required to work on Fridays until 6PM, and on Saturdays from 8:30am – 12pm on a rotation/schedule basis, usually once per month.

Travel: Travel is minimal and mainly consists of working in Galveston on Friday and Saturdays and training at designated branch locations.

Required Education and Experience
  1. Associate degree in business or 2 years loan processing experience
  2. Proficient in MS Office applications
