Job Description

Director of Nursing (RN) - LTC/SNF

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team in a 100+ unit facility and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care and customer service. The DON will play a critical role in coordinating, assessing, and monitoring the quality and efficiency of care while ensuring full compliance with nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with federal, state, and company standards.
  • Lead, manage, and supervise nursing staff to maintain consistent patient care outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, trust, and open communication throughout the facility.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and health programs, promoting a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Address operational challenges by identifying solutions and implementing best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for nursing staff to align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for superior patient care and service excellence.
  • Evaluate nursing services to ensure cost-effective care while meeting organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and support change initiatives by involving the team in decision-making processes.
  • Communicate effectively with staff through education, demonstrations, and leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (required).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for experience in long-term care.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities.
