Power BI Developer

Vaco is on the move to hire a team of BI and Data Developers to support a local client and help to build out their reporting and dashboard solutions. We are looking for a strong background building and enhancing Power BI data models and development of clean and efficient dashboards. You will serve as the best practices guide for Power BI initiatives within the organization and help to build out data queries with SQL. Core responsibilities:
  • Responsible for administering, supporting, monitoring, and tuning the Power BI reporting environment
  • Develop, test, and deploy DAX-based scripts, queries, and functions in Power BI
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Works closely with Power BI report users to tune and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Conducts training and user-group sessions on Power BI.
  • Acts as the escalation point for Power BI related issues.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of Data/BI development experience (SQL, Power BI, Power BI Gateway)
  • 5+ overall industry experience in Data development & dashboarding/reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (SSAS, DAX, Power BI, etc).
  • Experience working with Azure based BI solutions.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Previous experience building robust reporting and dashboards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
