Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative

Company Overview:

Instrument Transformer Equipment Corporation (ITEC) is a leading provider of standard and custom engineered top quality instrument transformers. These are built to provide long term service and high accuracy in utility applications of metering and protection. The business is located in Monroe, NC (suburb of Charlotte, NC) and is self-contained (engineering, front office, and production and EHV testing all on one site). ITEC is part of Power Grid Holding, a growth platform that is acquiring domestic transmission & distribution supply companies who serve electric utility and large industrial customers.

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative will support the sales efforts of the ITEC sales team including the regional vice presidents and representative network with focus on quotation management, order management and after sales support of our business.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Opens and maintains all orders in our ERP system.
  • Responsible for approval / construction drawing submittals as required by customer order documents.
  • Manages customer complaints and RMA processes.
  • Utilizes customer online portals for quotation and order support, including managing user subscriptions with current company information and password updates as needed.
  • Collaborates with production, shipping, and leadership team on order status.
  • Meets with customers visiting the facility as needed.
  • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Maintains daily reports to be sent to managers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience including experience with technical products. (Experience in utility industry preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including proficiency in excel and ERP systems.
