JOB SUMMARY: Our company is seeking a well-qualified Clinician as a member of the newly created company Clinical Team. This position performs a variety of clinical duties to support community behavioral health needs including 911 dispatch, law enforcement Co-Response, community service providers, and other first responders. As a member of company Clinical Teams, clinicians must be able to effectively respond to, provide, manage, and coordinate professional mental health services and system support services including initial de-escalation, assessment, clinical intervention, and secondary collaboration to support individuals and families who are experiencing a behavioral health related emergency. This position will work closely and in collaboration with the Multi-Agency Collaboration (MAC) Team, providing community based follow-up and support for s ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (The following duty statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other non-essential or marginal duties that may be required. Clinicians must be able to effectively respond to, provide, manage, and coordinate professional mental health services and system support services. The role of the clinician will be to ensure continuity of care including: an immediate and professional evaluation, collaboration with proper agencies, referral to appropriate type and level of service, and advocacy for treatment deemed necessary. The Behavioral Health Strategies & Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and assignments along with additional duties as assigned, such as: public service events, public outreach and education and response to other community events. Our company Clinical Director will oversee review of work through analysis of records and reports, clinical supervision, and regular meetings on unusual or difficult pro The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented professional, skilled and competent in the application of the technical aspects of this role, problem solving, and providing superior customer support in response to internal and external requests and calls for service. The candidate will be highly detail-oriented, accurate in the work product, and be flexible in supporting new County Clinical Teams. The selected candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to quickly absorb and understand unfamiliar subject matter. Utilize clinical practice guidelines and State of Colorado Office of Behavioral Health, and Department of Regulatory Agencies guidelines and standards for appropriate service delivery. Maintain and manage accurate and timely clinical records and data collection and documentation as required. Maintain training, education, and best practices by attending training, conferences, and other opportunities for continuing education. Oral and written communications must be clear, effective, positive and professional. Ability to multitask through a variety of software programs. Ability to investigate and respond to program client complaints or concerns. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required: Master's or Doctorate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or closely related degree from an accredited program. Licensed or license eligible in the State of Colorado (LPC, LAC, LCSW,LMFT, PsY), candidates for licensure may also be considered given they meet the rest of the requirements. Three or more years of progressively responsible experience after an advanced degree. Experience working with Crisis response and intervention, suicide assessment and safety planning, hospitalization and community systems collaboration. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and diverse populations. Must be able to pass a b ckground check, psychological examination, polygraph examination, physical examination and obtain a security clearance for work with Criminal Justice Records. Must have or obtain a Colorado Driver's License within 60 days of appointment and maintain throughout employment and know how to safely operate a motor vehicle. Experience working with co-response and law enforcement preferred. Bi-lingual preferred. Must be 21 years of age. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Occasional exposure of work time to hazardous situations which involve physically violent persons, interviewing mentally or emotionally disturbed persons. May be exposed to communicable diseases, infections, blood and bodily fluids. Prior experience working in or managing a residential program is desirable.
