Job Description:
- Check/confirm body weld jigs, tools, pallets, parts and assemblies to meet quality targets/KPIs for new model launch.
- Prepare, troubleshoot and confirm new tooling/equipment, parts and sub-assemblies at various tool/equipment vendors. Support welding and tool quality confirmation activities at NAMCs from installation through SOP.
- Create detailed Quality Seibi daily plans, Project Task Reports, Problem Follow Sheets, track activity status, coordinate Safety communications (JSA, CMs/remedies to unsafe conditions, & safety audits), and support daily/weekly verbal and written communication with the Quality Seibi Project Leader, BAC and Seibi Management.
- Provide effective written and verbal communication with Quality Seibi Team Members, BAC, Management and outside groups regarding dimensional information and issues that require resolution.
- Gather/manage part information from Digital Engineering systems and drawings. Analyze part/sub-assembly dimensional data and feedback to Project Leader and Seibi Management.
- Perform equipment/tool/part confirmation utilizing Vectorarm, FARO Arm, FARO Laser Tracker, check fixtures, weld tooling/equipment measurements, and part fitting activities.
- Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S. NAMCs and machine suppliers within the US and Mexico, as well as foreign travel to Canada.
- Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
- Requisition Title: CW Quality/Accuracy Technician
- Location: Georgetown, KY
- Duration: 12 months.
- Travel%: up to 60% (Mostly to Canada)
- Overtime: 60%
- Shift hours/ day: Mon to Fri - 8 to 5 EST possibility of stretching, Weekends, and overtime
- Interview Process: Video interview and then Onsite Interview.
- After 2 months of training period, the candidate must travel if required.
- This role is not going to have a clean lab.
- Candidates need to have Steel Toed boots to perform duties on this role.
