Humane is a team of proven industry experts who have invented, built, and shipped category-defining hardware and software products to billions of people across the globe. We're known for building the audacious, ambitious, and the impossible, and we're doing it again. Our vision for the next shift between humans and computing requires innovation across multiple emerging technologies in hardware and software, from devices to cloud services.
About The Role
The Humane Design team is dedicated to creating simple, delightful and transformative user experiences. We're passionate about developing innovative yet familiar interfaces that feel like a natural extension of the human experience. We value collaboration across disciplines, from software engineering to hardware design. We're excited to work with designers who see technology as a tool to help people tackle real-world problems.
As a Production Designer you'll craft, refine, and implement cohesive design components across our desktop, mobile, and laser design systems. The ideal candidate brings a keen eye for detail, a passion for creating scalable design solutions, and a talent for translating complex design concepts into user-friendly Figma components. You thrive on consistency and efficiency, finding satisfaction in creating systems that empower other designers and developers. At our company, you'll have the opportunity to shape the foundation of our digital experiences, ensuring a unified and intuitive interface across all our products. This 3-month contract role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on our design ecosystem, with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
We request that you submit a presentation (Keynote, PDF or Figma preferred) of 1-2 examples of your work, along with any passion projects, that you feel represent you as a designer. We'd love to learn how you think about product design and make decisions - from the experience of using a product to its look and feel, the craft behind it, and the trade-offs you made to ship.
What You Might Do
- Build out Figma components and libraries
- Contribute to craft and quality by scaling and refining existing designs
- Ensure consistency across experiences and surfaces
- Develop usage guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers to implement scalable design patterns
- 5+ years experience designing, prototyping, and shipping digital products

- Understanding of design accessibility guidelines
- Working with engineers on implementing a design system with a high degree of craft and quality
