Position Summary: Practices excellent customer service and schedules patients according to established office procedures. Answers telephone by the third ring as needed. Obtains pertinent patient information for check in and check out process. Maintains patient information in Meditech system. Greet patients and visitors; determines their needs and directs them accordingly. Acts a patient liaison as needed to direct flow for center and assists patients with documentation as needed. Reviews all information sheets and forms for consistency. Works with others ensuring all daily tasks are completed timely, to include referrals as needed. Posts charges and payments accordingly in Misys system. Maintains neat and ordering front desk area ensuring supplies are stocked and maintained daily. Other duties as assigned by Director. Qualifications: High school graduate with a combination of at least two years of experience in customer service.# Must have previous medical office experience. Typing and computer services, preferably in a medical office setting. Typing and computer skills: ability to operate any office equipment; knowledge of multi-line telephone system: knowledge of cashiering: ability to follow medical staff instructions: ability to stay calm in emergencies: good communications, written and organizational skills: ability to deal with multiple tasks at one time and prioritize accordingly; able to adapt and incorporate new tasks presented: able to contribute new ideas and solutions to the problems: ability to deal with public in a professional manner and maintain good relationships with the Center#s personnel and staff physicians: ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
