We serve a complex and vulnerable population: individuals and families who may have limited income, who are uninsured or who have Medicaid or Medicare - people who often have nowhere else to turn and rely on Highland Rivers to help them. Highland Rivers is seeking a Part-time Behavioral Health Therapist for the Whitfield County Clinic.

Hiring for afternoons and at least 1 Saturday per month. Afternoon hours can be flexible Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Provide individual therapy, group therapy, Diagnostic Assessments and Crisis Intervention for individuals diagnosed with Mental Health and Substance Abuse disorders.
  • Hold and maintain caseload of individuals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and update/ monitor progress of individuals served.
  • Perform marketing activities and community outreach.
  • Computer skills sufficient to learn and utilize the electronic medical records.
  • Maintain positive relationship with community partners.
  • Along with all other requirements mandated by federal, state, company, and insurance policies.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from an accredited program.
  • Must hold a LAPC, LAMFT, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT professional license in the state of Georgia.
  • Two or more years experience in behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Skilled in working independently and implementing time management strategies.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff.
  • Computer skills sufficient to learn and utilize the electronic medical records.
  • Bi-lingual abilities a plus
  • Afternoons at least 2 days and 1 Saturday per month.
