Job Summary
The IT Desktop Technician is responsible for provide technical support and assistance to end users with the support of hardware, software, and maintenance on end user devices.

Friday - Monday 8:00am - 7:00pm

Job Specific Responsibilities

Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, PCs, tablets etc..
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and network connectivity issues
• Remove data and perform data migration to new machines
• Perform replacement and disposal of hardware assets
• Manage incidents, requests, and project deliverables that meet defined SLA objectives and metrics goals; Use ITSM solution by entering and closing tickets in a timely manner
• Work with vendor contacts to resolve technical problems on hardware and application levels
• Assist in identifying and inventorying new equipment to maintain proper levels of stock
• All other assigned duties related to digital health.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

Skills and Abilities

• Possess intermediate level analytical skills, including process description, logic, problem diagnosis, and problem solving
• Provide excellent customer support by phone and in person to end users
• Ability to plan and organize effectively; prioritizing goals and staying on task
• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent customer service qualities

Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships

This position requires close interaction with many employees, department leaders, vendors, and outside suppliers for UMC

Physical Capabilities

Ability to lift up to 75pounds. The position requires long hours on your feet, walking and standing for extended periods of time. Occasionally requires driving to remote locations

Physical Capabilities

Candidate must be able to work in confined areas throughout the hospital. Position also requires work in construction areas. Requires travel to UMC Physician affiliated clinics within a 100 mile radius. Must provide own transportation with mileage reimbursement.
