As the Communications Program Manager, you will be primarily responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal communication strategies to engage employees, align teams, and to promote a positive and cohesive workplace culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, project management expertise, and a passion for enhancing communications initiatives. While the primary responsibilities will be for internal communications, up to 25% of your time may support development of communication plans and content kits to support our business units with customer communication.
Preferred candidate to be located in the metro Atlanta area. The position can be remote within Atlanta, with occasional travel required to our office in Buckhead, GA.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement a holistic communications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand communication needs and objectives.
- Drive communication efforts during organizational changes, ensuring that employees and customers are well-informed and engaged.
- Devise external communication strategies for customer-facing scenarios supporting major initiatives and business process changes.
- Create engaging and impactful content for various communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, email, and other platforms, ensuring that messages are consistent, clear, and aligned with the company's brand and values.
- Work closely with leadership to develop messaging related to changes in processes, policies, or structures.
- Develop programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through effective communication.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to gauge the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as needed.
- Lead the planning and execution of internal events, town hall meetings, and workshops to facilitate open communication and collaboration.
- Stay abreast of communication technologies and recommend tools to enhance internal communication efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal communication platforms.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of internal communication initiatives.
- Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication efforts with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Familiarity with external communications and customer-centric messaging.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years in internal communications, preferably in a lead or program management role.
- Experience with change management communication.
