Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design electrical systems and components that meet project requirements, adhere to industry standards, and align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Create detailed circuit diagrams, schematics, and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) AutoCAD Electrical tools to ensure proper functionality and integration of electrical components.
  • Build and test prototypes to evaluate the performance of electrical systems, identify potential issues, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Integrate electrical systems into overall product designs, considering factors such as size, weight, and power consumption.
  • Research and select appropriate electrical components, ensuring they meet project specifications, quality standards, and cost constraints.
  • Ensure that all electrical designs comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall product design.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical system malfunctions, providing support for production and post-production activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve product performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • BS or associate degree in electrical engineering and/or equivalency
  • Proficiency in electrical design, analysis, and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, SPICE). Solid understanding of electronic components and their applications.
  • Relevant experience in electrical engineering, product design, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex electrical engineering challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in electrical designs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels.
