Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Expert Software Architect our Health Research Inc Team located in Menands, NY. Key Responsibilities: The Expert Software Architect guides a development team to analyze, design and program complex projects including coordinating activities on multiple aspects of the project, assuring quality control and providing technical guidance to project teams, as well as interfacing with business owners and project management staff. The Expert Software Architect will review business requirements documentation with project team to clarify for technical design, guide systems and program design to meet highly complex business needs, preparation of detailed technical specifications from which programs are developed, and creation of appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation. The Expert Software Architect will prepare development time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and provide recommendations to project manager, coordinate development activities, selects technologies, design testing plans, assure quality control and effective change control and provide technical guidance to project teams. The Expert Software Architect will consult with the software development team in coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting highly complex programs, and developing complex test plans to verify logic programs; develop and maintain release management process including planning, tracking, communication and coordination of technical tasks associated with release; and support project personnel in resolving complex program problems. The Expert Software Architect will serve as technical project lead, providing guidance to less experienced technical personnel, as well as identify, track, and resolve issues, recommend changes and provide supporting documentation. Guide design and supervise coding from requirements and functional specifications. Architect, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement web applications. Work with staff to ensure smooth and correct operations of any code or web services used by the application. Produce technical and user documentation as requested. Any other tasks necessary for completion of project deliverables and application support. Provide technical solutions for large scalable designs. Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical personnel. Communicate with programmatic units to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Qualifications: 84+ months Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field Mandatory Qualifications: 84 months of experience designing/architecting applications with web technologies in a JEE environment, including Servlets, JSP, Java/JEE, HTTP, HTML, XML, SQL, JSF, JDBC/MyBatis on Oracle WebLogic application servers 84 months experience using SPRING or a similar java development framework 84 months experience with Oracle database servers and PL/SQL. Experience should include creating stored procedures, triggers, and other objects 48 months experience designing and developing modern UI/UX using Angular 2.x or higher 48 months experience with RESTful web service development and API architecture. 60 months experience managing the software development lifecycle of a team. This must include managing development, testing, system level documentation, continuous integration, and deployments. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
