We are looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Integrated Eligibility System Team. This role involves a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work opportunities after an initial period.

The Integrated Eligibility System (IES) aims to improve the well-being of individuals by transforming the delivery of health and human services through coordinated practices, modern technology, and strategic partnerships. IES will provide comprehensive eligibility, enrollment, case management, and payment functionalities for various health and human service programs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct system analysis, design, and documentation of existing systems and related technical deliverables within the IES Program.
  • Design system and application architecture for IES projects, adhering to established reference architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for IES projects.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to assess existing solutions for potential reuse in IES.
  • Work with the Chief Technology Office to establish technical standards and frameworks for IES projects.
  • Partner with Data Architects to maintain reference model architecture and standards for information architecture.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to align enterprise architecture and strategy.
  • Participate in technical discussions with implementation teams to ensure alignment with program standards.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership to ensure technological coherence across projects.
  • Explore and support new technology initiatives relevant to the organization.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Level III - Over seven (7) years of experience in complex projects, including two or more years in a leadership role as an Architect.
Five or more years of experience in enterprise architecture and designing applications with hybrid cloud deployments.

Five or more years of experience with event-driven architecture, implementing SOA and Microservices, including API product management.


Desirable Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience leading solution implementations for government agencies in care management and eligibility systems, with integration experience in case management and financial management.

Three or more years of experience designing and implementing software frameworks and reusable components using .NET technology.

Experience in modernization projects requiring knowledge across multiple technical domains, including Mainframe Systems and Modern Web Systems.

Three or more years of experience in legacy re-engineering projects and analysis of systems interfacing with legacy products.

Three or more years of experience with enterprise-wide architectures across multiple IT functional areas, identifying opportunities for capability reuse and business transformation.

Two or more years of experience evaluating software products to achieve system architecture goals.

Three or more years of experience with foundational technology components, including rules engines, API gateways, and middleware components.

Experience implementing solutions for state or local government, particularly in health and human services applications.
